Based on all of the other reviews so far I see that I am certainly not in the "norm" as far as my opinion on this book. I wished that I would have loved it as much as others are claiming to but sadly this one just did not do it for me. I was really into it in the beginning but then things just kept dragging on and on and on and on. The first half of the book is just full of teasing encounters, "all mosts", and close calls to these two characters opening up to one another and being honest with one another. I am not a big fan of books dragging the secret out for so much of the book and I think that was what was ultimately the downfall for me on this one. There was just too many times that Alex gave Sebastian the opening or "green light" to come clean or make a move and he kept walking away. Even once all of the secrets came out I was just kind of over it by then so it never came back together for me. I have read the others in this series and really enjoyed them. This one just didn't hit me the same way as the others. Going Under is the third book in The Blackhawk Boys Series but can be read as a stand-alone. It is Sebastian's story and it is a whirlwind. I was wrecked and didn't know what to expect with all the twists and turns that Lexi Ryan took us on in this book!Sebastian has always been a mystery to me, so when I saw this book was his, I was thrilled, finally we were going to get to know more about the mystery guy who seemed to keep to himself in this series, and boy did we get to know him. Not only do we get to know Sebastian, but we also get to know the girl who knocked him off of feet and the one he knows he can't have. Alexandra is the girl Sebastian has always wanted but knows he can't have, and as the story goes on, we find out why he thinks that and how hard it is for him to stay away from her. Alex has always loved Sebastian, and can't get over him no matter how hard she tries. She has demons of her own, losing her twin sister two years ago, she's tried to move forward with her life, but it's hard knowing she tried and failed to save her.These two have let the past define them and even though they have tried to move on, and become different people, secrets have kept them from doing that. I loved all the secrets, but at the same time I wished that Sebastian would have been open with Alex in the beginning. I loved how her brother was the one that told him how strong Alex was and how she could handle the truth. I also enjoyed seeing the past in her sisters journals eyes, a little cryptic, but at the same time, very interesting to get a different perspective into what was going on and why Sebastian behaved the way he did.These two definitely do not have an easy road, and it's not a smooth path for them to find each other and have a happily ever after. Sebastian runs hot and cold with Alex and confuses her more than helps her most times. I know he loves her, but more times than not he hurts her more than helps her and that frustrated me as a reader, even understanding why he did it. I really did enjoy their story and was so happy to see all the truths come out and watch them move forward and let go of everything that's held them back.I have fallen in love with all of the boys in this series and can't wait to see what comes next in this series, especially now that I'm all caught up. Each book gets better and better and the stories deeper and more twisty. I love seeing the characters from previous books playing parts in each new story. If you're a new adult fan, or a sports romance fan, I highly suggest picking up the Blackhawk Boys Series by Lexi Ryan today! Each book is a stand-alone and they all will take you on one wild ride!
